Polisska Experimental Station operates on the basis Statute and carries out scientific and research work on the study of soil cover and the development of highly effective fertilizers based on local raw materials.
Our achievements:
- prepared and defended 2 doctoral theses and 15 candidate theses;
- prepared and received 11 utility model patents, 3 copyright registration certificates for the work;
- developed and approved 5 Technical conditions for fertilizers and growth biostimulators;
- 5 monographs, 3 training manuals, 35 methodological instructions and recommendations and more than 450 scientific articles were published.
- participation in international projects.
The main areas of scientific activity:
- study of soils, their main properties, formation of bases of analytical and cartographic information based on the latest geo-informational approaches;
- development of technologies for the use of drained low-productivity lands and peatlands of the Western Polissia of Ukraine;
- predictive assessment of local fertilizer resources and development of energy-saving harvesting technologies and their use. Creation of new types of fertilizers on their basis with their subsequent agroecological assessment;
- study of the radiation situation in the radioactively contaminated zone, the effectiveness of preventive measures to reduce the transfer of radionuclides from the soil to plants using local non-traditional types of fertilizers and the development of comprehensive recommendations for conducting agriculture in conditions of radioactive contamination
- development and implementation of new types of products, technologies for creating, improving and applying fertilizers (substrates), increasing soil fertility, expert assessment of their quality, information services, as well as scientific rationale for water resources protection.
The most important research results:
- Recommendations for the effective use of drained soils of the Western Polissia of Ukraine (on the example of the Volyn region) (scientific and practical recommendations, 2010).
- Use of non-traditional fertilizers and biological preparations in radioactively contaminated territories (scientific and practical recommendations, 2010).
- Use of fermented fertilizers and trace elements in radioactively contaminated territories (scientific and practical recommendations, 2010).
- Production of organic fermented fertilizers and their use in the cultivation of agricultural crops (scientific and practical recommendations, (2013).
- Agroecological monitoring of agricultural land with the selection of zones that are favorable for growing organic products (on the example of the Volyn region) (scientific and methodological recommendations, 2013).
- Recommendations for adjusting the system of countermeasures in crop production taking into account the current radiological situation (scientific and methodological recommendations, 2013).
- Increasing the efficiency of crop fertilization systems with the introduction of organo-mineral fertilizers (scientific and practical recommendations, 2015).
- Recommendations for fertilization of vegetable crops in the conditions of organic production of the Western Polissia of Ukraine (scientific and practical recommendations, 2015).
- Ways of rational use of natural resources (peat, sapropel) and agricultural production on radioactively contaminated landscapes of Western Polissia to obtain radiologically safe products (scientific and practical recommendations, 2015).
- Scientific basis of integrated management of degraded peatlands of the Western Polissia of Ukraine (scientific edition, 2015).
- Measures to prevent degradation of drained lands (scientific and practical recommendations, 2016).
- Application of crop fertilization systems using newly formed complex fertilizers adapted to zonal soil and climatic conditions (scientific and practical recommendations, 2018).
