The NSC ISSAR has postgraduate and doctoral programmes for the training of PhD and doctoral students.
The Institute has highly qualified staff for the training of Doctors of Philosophy and Doctors of Science: 2 academicians, 1 corresponding member, 12 Doctors of Science, 3 professors, 42 Candidates of Science.
For the high-quality training of postgraduate students and their dissertation research, the Institute has a powerful material and technical base. There are two certified measuring (analytical) laboratories: Laboratory of instrumental methods of soil research, standardization and metrology and organic fertilizer and humus laboratory. The network of research institutions of the Institute has special testing grounds for conducting field experiments. Scientific units are equipped with licensed programs for performing cartographic and graphic works, statistical processing of research results. Postgraduate students during their studies undergo internships in research institutions of Ukraine, CIS countries and far abroad.
Scientific Library of the Institute, the collection of which includes over 80 thousand copies, including 26 thousand periodicals, is a unique collection of literature on the specialties studied by postgraduate students. There is access to electronic libraries. Using a licensed program "IRBIS" An electronic catalog and its own databases of books, scientific works of the Institute's employees, abstracts and dissertations, scientific reports, etc. have been created, which ensures free access for postgraduate students to the Institute's library collection.
