From 6 September to 11 October 2024, Researcher Department of Innovative Economics, International Relations and Informatization of Scientific Research of NATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CENTER "INSTITUTE FOR SOIL SCIENCE AND AGROCHEMISTRY RESEARCH NAMED AFTER O.N. SOKOLOVSKY”, PhD Roman Prozorov completed an internship at Delft University of Technology (Kingdom of the Netherlands). The aim and objectives of the internship were to master modelling skills and develop a business model for scaling up Land Management Technologies (LMT) as part of sustainable agricultural practices, identify an effective post-war strategy in the context of Ukraine's food security, and conduct joint research on the Ukrainian case of the Horizon 2020 project LANDMARC, which financed the business trip.
LMT, or Land Management Technologies)– are innovative practices and technological solutions aimed at reducing the negative impact of human activity on the environment, particularly in the agricultural sector. They play an important role in sustainable land management strategies, contributing to both increased productivity and the preservation of ecosystem services. The main aspects of LMT are agroforestry, water management technologies, organic farming, carbon farming, climate change adaptation, and energy biosystems.
Effective work was carried out to include the NSC ISSAR in the Horizon project consortium with a significant role, and presentation work was carried out to increase the interest of partners in involving the NSC ISSAR in the consortium and assigning a worthy role (in addition to the existing research case).
Further areas of potential cooperation were discussed and online meetings were scheduled for late October and November.
The success of the internship is confirmed by a certificate.
