Participants of international soil projects share ideas

On December 12, 2024, the webinar “Caring for Soils: Insights from EU Mission Soil Projects on Measurement, Monitoring, and Management” was held, organized by the SOILL-Startup project in cooperation with other initiatives within the framework of the EU mission “A Soil Deal for Europe”. The event was dedicated to the current issues of soil measurement, monitoring and management, in particular through the implementation of innovative solutions developed within the framework of the projects of this mission.

Representatives of leading projects — SOILL-Startup, AI4Soil Health, MARVIC, BENCHMARKS, MRV4SOC — presented innovative approaches to soil measurement, monitoring, and management, and also revealed the contribution of their initiatives to improving soil health.

The webinar participants included researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and private sector representatives interested in implementing innovative solutions for soil management.

The participant from the NSC ISSAR was Oksana Bihun — Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Soil Geoecophysics named after Academician of the NAAS V. V. Medvedev.
